It was originally released in Japan for the Family Computer on September 13, 1985, and later for the Nintendo Entertainment System in North America in 1985, Europe on and Australia in 1987. is a 1985 platform video game internally developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo as a pseudo-sequel to the 1983 game Mario Bros. Shigeru Miyamoto, Toshihiko Nakago, Kazuaki Morita. This game can be played also in a version for Game Boy. I'm not a hard core gamer so when levels are too hard, I just give up and let it collect dust on my shelf.If you think that the game in your browser doesn't work as it should, try to choose another online emulator from this table. My husband thinks this game might be a little easier than the previous games, but I rather enjoyed it that way. A few of the powers have changed as well but it’s a good change. The refreshed look of Mario and his companions is not a big enough change for you to do any double takes and it doesn't take any time at all to get used to.
For instance, if you have fire power and you come across another one, the game will bank it for you to use later. My favorite part is being able to store extra powers while in the level. The same goes for the powers and abilities that Mario and Luigi can obtain. Some of the bosses are from previous games and others are new to this version. The game itself has over 80 levels across water, land, air and snow to fight through before the final battle for the princess. Princess Peach is the damsel in distress and it's up to Mario, Luigi and their friends to save her. The storyline is much the same as the previous games. Thankfully the games have come a long way since I was a kid and I'm happy to say this game keeps in with the spirit of the characters and the storyline. I've been a fan of Mario since my parents bought our family the first Nintendo system when I was 6 years old (did I just age myself?) and we played the original Mario Bros. I was really excited to get this game downloaded to my son's Nintendo 3DS.
